Beliefs
As a Global Methodist Congregation, we believe:
God
We recognize that there is one and only one living and true God, who exists in three persons — Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit — but without division of nature, essence, or being. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 1:1; John 1:14)
Authority of Scripture
We value and desire Bible-centered preaching, teaching and living as the foundation for all that we do. (Psalm 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Worship
We will seek to praise and worship the Lord passionately and faithfully “in Spirit and in truth”—as individuals, as families, and as a local church. (John 4:23-24)
Prayer
We will intentionally seek and pursue private, family and corporate prayer to our God. (Psalm 5:2; Matthew 6:7-13; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-19)
Family
We encourage lifelong commitments to marriage between one man and one woman; we support the ongoing spiritual nurture of the family in marriage and in singleness. (Matthew 19:4-6)
Fellowship/Community
We will actively pursue Christian fellowship within this inclusive body of Christ and intentionally engage our community to shine the light of Christ and point our community to a saving knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ. (Matthew 5:16; Romans 12:9-13; 1 John 4:7-11)
Every Member Ministry/Priesthood We are blessed by God, to be the people of God, to minister to each other and our community. (1 Peter 2:9-10)
Stewardship
We encourage every member to adopt a lifestyle of cheerful and generous stewardship that recognizes God’s sovereignty and grace over everything. (2 Corinthians 9:7; 1 Peter 4:10)
