It’s really all about choices, isn’t it?  We have the choice to live in relationship with our Creator and acknowledge His presence in our Lives. God formed us in His image and gave us breath of life in order that we may sing His praises and shine His light to all those around.

He knew us before the world even began, and He deemed our days worthy of life. In Psalm 139: 14 we sing, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, I know that full well.”  He chose us to be in relationship with Him.

Did you catch that important part? He CHOSE us! He brought us into being by His perfect design, and He chose us for this time and this place. There is power in that, my friends!  Not only can we choose to be in relationship with Him, but He has chosen to be our Immanuel (God with us).

As we look at the choices that lie in front of us every day, it serves us well to consider that we too, are chosen.  We are “…a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that [we] you may declare the praises of him who called [us] you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9.

The Oxford Dictionary defines “choose” as “pick out or select (someone or something) as being the best or most appropriate of two or more alternatives”.  Are you living into that calling? Are you choosing to be the most appropriate of two alternatives? Jesus died on the Cross so that you would know and choose Him as the best of two alternatives. And, He chose you to live in His light and grace so that you may not know the worst of the alternatives. Think about it…. Our Lord and Savior CHOSE YOU!  He didn’t have to, but in love for you, wanted you to be His and live with Him in eternity.

Love, Mrs. Tracey
