Core Four: The Feast

September 21, 2025

Sunday Worship isn’t just a weekly routine—it’s a feast that nourishes our souls, anchors us in Christ's redeeming work, and points us toward an eternal hope.

In week three of our Core Four series, we explore The Feast: the Sunday gathering of God’s people for worship. More than just a meal, a feast lingers in our memory; it is celebration, community, and nourishment for body and soul. In worship, we join a centuries-old conversation with God: He speaks through Scripture, prayer, song, and sacrament, and we respond in praise, thanksgiving, and obedience.

Drawing from passages like Psalm 63, 1 Corinthians 11, and Revelation 19, Pastor John reminds us that worship is about the here and now, celebrating God’s presence in our midst. It is also about remembering Christ’s past work on the cross through communion, and anticipating the future wedding feast of the Lamb, when all things will be made new. Like David in exile, we too find sustenance in God’s presence, even in a broken world.

The call is simple: Come, come hungry, and eat. Show up for worship, expect God to speak, and participate fully in the feast He has prepared.
